The Salt Springs Civic Association would like to extend a great big "Thank You" to all those involved in making the 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off a success! -> Without the diligence of Jackie Pellum and the help of all the volunteers, we couldn't have pulled it off! So... "Thank You, Thank You to All!" -> We'd like to extend a big "Congratulations" to The Hormel's who won first prize for their tasty chili, which beat out 16 other entrees. Congratulations to The Hormel's and Thank you to all the participants who contributed in making the event a success -- We hope to see you all again next year! -> We'd like to thank all of the local businesses and citizens that participated through the purchase of space in our Annual Ad Book. Your continued support of the Association and Community is appreciated. Because the Ad Book is the Association's main source of funds which enable us to assist the community, we couldn't do the things that we do without all of you! -- So, Thank You All! -> Also a special thank you to Melvene Thomas-Wilson, for heading the Ad Book Committee... and, to her "helpers" who obtained the Ads -- Thank You All, too! -> We'd like to say a great big Thank You to Bass Champions who generously donated all proceeds to the Civic Association from their

fried fish sales at the event -- We Thank You for Your continued support of the Civic Association & the Community! -> We'd like to thank Charlotte Armstrong for her fresh strawberry shortcake, which really hit the spot ...and, thank you to Joe Massey for his delicious chili, which topped the hot dogs. In addition to the chili, hot dogs, fried fish, and strawberry shortcake, we also enjoyed chicken and yellow rice, among other things. Plus, there were lots of raffles, prizes, and some good entertainment. So, it can be said that "A Good Time Was Had By All!" ...and, LAST, but not least... -> We'd like to extend a "HUGE" Thank You to Cactus Jack's for hosting the event for us again this year -- We Thank You for making it all possible! So, to end this lengthily Thank You.... Thanks to everyone who helped in the preparation, set-up and execution of our 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off! -- See you all next year!!
...a special thank you also goes out to Kathy Paskey for her contributions in the preparation of this story....
