NEWS / HEADLINES: INFO NEEDED ON THEFT FROM DOCK ON LAKE KERR... We received an email regarding a recent theft from a dock on Lake Kerr... anyone with info, please respond. The following is the content of the email. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JULY 7, 2010 -- Last night after dinner, my youngest daughter was playing on our deck and noticed a boat very close to the end of the dock. On beautiful nights it isn’t uncommon to see people enjoying the benefits of our lake. However, much to our surprise, the boaters stole the little concrete cast fisherman who sat at the end of our dock. A quick run of the lake yielded nothing. I hope with all of my heart that this is someone just playing a practical joke. Salt Springs is a wonderful community and we are fortunate to live in a place that is safe, to raise our children where they can experience the Ocala National Forest at its finest. So, when you are out and about, if you hear of someone who stole a little black boy wearing blue jeans, a white shirt, red suspenders and a yellow hat from the end of our dock, please let us know.
